Search for Santa / Waldo Continues

Ali Elf, Mrs. Claus hunt for Santa

[Search for Santa / Waldo Continues]

Ali Elf has been Mrs. Claus' student, helper, and friend for many, many years. That's why she was chosen to come and help Mrs. Claus find Santa--or Waldo--in the city!

"Why did we ever come here?" asked Mrs. Claus. "We should have canceled the trip after the incident in the workshop."

"How were you to know that lightning was going to hit a machine that would end up swapping Santa and Waldo Elf into each other's bodies?" asked Ali. "What are the odds of that happening?"

Mrs. Claus thought for a minute. "Seventy-eight million, three hundred and forty-six thousand, five hundred and fifty-three to one," She said. (Very few people knew that Mrs. Claus is really, really good at math!)

"I forgot that you are really, really good at math," said Ali. "Well, we should stop thinking about what we should have done, and start thinking about where he is right now."

[by Elvin Elf] "I've looked everywhere I think he could be," said Mrs. Claus. "I looked at the schools, in hospitals, at the food bank, and no one's seen him!"

That's because you're looking in the places Santa would go," said Ali. "We need to look where Waldo might go!"

So the two went to the zoo, and the planetarium, and the fish hatchery, and the toy museum, and although they found people who had seen Santa/Waldo, he wasn't at any of those places.

"This city's so big!" said Mrs. Claus. We might never find him!"

"I'm sure we'll find him," said Ali Elf. And she was sure they would. What she didn't say, though, was that she was afraid it might not be in time for Christmas!

Will the two women track down Santa/Waldo? You won't know, unless you keep reading The North Pole TImes!
