No Such Thing as Elves or Santa!?

Surrounded by Penguins, Elf needs Help!

[No Such Thing as Elves or Santa!?]

Jiller Elf was surrounded by penguins. They were all looking at her, and coming closer and closer, when she heard a voice shout "Get away from her!"

At first she thought it was Waldo. After all, it was Waldo Elf that brought her to the South Pole. But it wasn't. Instead there was a man--a human--coming at her! At the sound of his voice, the penguins all backed off.

"Thank you!" said Jiller. "I thought they were going to hurt me!"

"Not hardly," said the man. "They like you. I think it's your clothes," he said, pointing at her black-and-white outfit. "They think you're their leader."

"How do you know so much about penguins?" asked Jiller.

"I'm a biologist. I study these penguins for a living," said the man. "By the way, my name's Tyler,"

"I'm Jiller," said Jiller.

"What on earth are you doing at the South Pole, Jiller?" asked Tyler.

[by Eugene Elf] "I'm looking for Waldo Elf," said Jiller. "He and Santa switched bodies, and now we've got to get them both back to the North Pole so that Gizmo Elf can switch them back!"

Tyler blinked. He blinked again. Then he laughed. "That's the funniest joke I've heard in a long time! But that's not saying much, since penguins don't tell jokes. So, really--why are you here?"

"I told you the truth," said Jiller.

"No you didn't" said Tyler, "because there's no such thing as elves--and there's certainly no Santa Claus!"
