Veggie rule pushes Workshop to Plan B

Elves Plot a Snack Showdown

With Christmas Eve just two weeks away, Santa’s Workshop should have been buzzing with joyful hammering and ribbon-whirling. Instead, the toy floor hummed with something much quieter: grumbling.

The elves worked, but their usual sparkle was missing. Mrs. Claus’ new veggie-first snack rule had replaced their beloved cookies and candy swirls with bowls of carrot sticks and crunchy greens. Healthy? Yes. Popular? No.

Inside Santa’s office—still warm from his last cocoa mug before the Santa Shuttle mishap—Mrs. Claus met with Chief Toymaking Elf Toby.

“The elves aren’t happy,” Toby said gently. “They want their snacks back.”

Mrs. Claus folded her hands. “The sugar crashes were making everyone too tired. We need steady energy if we’re going to finish all the toys—and bring Santa home.”

Toby sighed. “I understand. But I don’t know how many toys we’ll make with them moping like this. They’ve asked me to ask you to reconsider.”

Mrs. Claus stared at the framed picture of Santa on her desk.
“I wish he were here,” she whispered. “I wish the Appendapulator was making toys instead of being rebuilt into a rescue rocket. I wish this choice were easier.”

She rose, steady but sad. “But it isn’t. Healthy snacks stay. It’s the only way we’ll keep up.”

Toby’s shoulders slumped. “Then… we have a problem.”
He stepped out into the Workshop.

Every elf froze. Tools hovered midair. Wrapping paper rustled to a stop.

Toby cleared his throat.
“She said no.”

A collective gasp swept the room.

Toby lifted his chin. “It’s time for Plan B!”

The Workshop erupted.

What is Plan B—and will it get the elves into even bigger trouble? Come back tomorrow to find out!
