On Thanksgiving, Santa Claus and Waldo Elf were blasted into orbit aboard The Santa Shuttle, an unfinished spaceship! While Santa and Waldo are safe, they don’t have a way to land. Luckily, Santa can communicate with everyone at the North Pole using his Wow-wee-whipper-do computer.
The elves at the North Pole are working hard to figure out how to bring Santa back in time for Christmas! So far, all attempts to track Santa’s orbit around the Earth have been unsuccessful.
“A lot of the stuff I used to build the shuttle has a high amount of Christmas Magic,” explained Gizmo Elf, Santa’s Chief Inventor Elf. “It’s not easily picked up by radar—just like Santa’s Sleigh!”
Tracking Trouble
Requests to NORAD and other satellite tracking systems haven’t worked either. “We’ve been trying to get a fix on it,” reported Lt. Bradley Woehrlen. “But it’s so magical that we really can’t see it properly. As soon as we think we spot it, it disappears! It’s like trying to follow a shooting star!”
“We need to know where the Shuttle is in orbit,” said Holly Elf, Santa’s Chief Spotter. “I’m starting a program to help keep track of it. I’m asking all kids who want to help to go outside and look at the night sky. If you see a twinkle or reddish/white light that looks like a star, go to the North Pole Times website and report it using the ‘Santa Spotter’ link. We’ll track him that way!”
Can You Help Spot Santa?
Can you help us find Santa in the night sky? How soon can the elves get him back? Keep reading the North Pole Times every day to find out!
