Santa’s Email Shakes Things Up!

Santa Orders a Shift—Will Christmas Be Postponed?

On Thanksgiving, Santa Claus and Waldo Elf were blasted into orbit aboard The Santa Shuttle, an unfinished spaceship! While they are safe, they can’t land. Santa is using his Wow-wee-whipper-do computer to communicate with everyone back at the North Pole. The elves are working hard to find a way to get Santa back in time for Christmas!

Santa's Email Shakes Things Up!

In a surprising email to all the elves, Santa Claus ordered the toyshop to stop building a rescue rocket and focus on making toys. "We need to make the presents first," Santa wrote. “Maybe someone else can deliver the toys this year or we’ll just have to postpone Christmas until I get back.”

Twinkle Elf, Keeper of Santa's Rules, raised an important question. "Since the person who delivers the toys on Christmas Eve is, by definition, Santa Claus, Santa may not be Santa anymore if this happens."

Holly Elf was confused. "What do you mean? He might just turn into some guy with a white beard?"

Twinkle Elf shrugged. "Maybe! This has never happened before in the history of Christmas. He might even... disappear!"

When told about this, Santa stood firm. "There must be gifts for the children. Whatever happens, happens. It will all work out for the best. It always does."

Time to Get to Work!

Gizmo Elf jumped in. "I’ll change the Appendapulator back to toy-making! I'll tune it up so it will pop out presents faster than Adamup can add them up!" He and Toby Elf hurried off to the toyshop.

What Will Happen Next?

Will Christmas be postponed this year or will someone else deliver the toys? And what will happen to the Santa on the Shuttle? Keep reading the North Pole Times every day to find out!
