Santa's Reindeer Snowboarding for Gold!

There's Gold in Them There Hills

[Santa's Reindeer Snowboarding for Gold!]

Welcome back – it’s the Reindeer Games! Today, we have the final round of the Snowboarding event.

Snowboarding is the seventh event of the Games, and there’s only one more race to go after Snowboarding, and that’s the Cross-Country Skiing race. And that will be it for the Games!

So far, gold medals have been awarded to Comet in the Speed Skating event, Blitzen for Ski Jumping, Dancer in Figure Skating, Dasher in the first-ever Luge competition, Donder for the High Jump, and Prancer won the Around-the-World race. A great job so far by all the reindeer! Today we have the final round of the Snowboarding race. Yesterday, Donder, Vixen, Dancer and Comet advanced to today’s final round. Donder will race against Vixen, and Dancer will race against Comet today. The two winners will then race for the gold!

Ok, here we go. First, it’s Donder and Vixen. The two reindeer will race, side-by-side, down the course. The winner will move to the final round. Here we go! And they’re off!

It’s Donder and Vixen on the course, racing beautifully. Both are moving with great speed, left and right, right and left. It’s a very close race, antler to antler! Down the stretch they come, and it’s still very close! Across the line, and it’s Vixen! Vixen wins and will race for the gold!

Next up, it’s Dancer and Comet. And they’re off! Both are off to a good start, and moving quickly down the hill. It’s very close! Left and right, right and left, and through the gates. Down to the finish, and it’s Dancer, just by a hoof over Comet! A very close race, and Dancer moves to the final round. It’s Vixen against Dancer for the gold medal in the Snowboarding race!

The reindeer are resting for a few minutes, and getting ready for the final.

“This should be a good final race,” says our very famous host, Jim McSnowflake Elf. “Both reindeer have looked very good so far, and can snowboard very fast. It will be a fun final race!” Ok, here we go. Vixen and Dancer are back up the hill, and at the starting gate. They’re off!

Down the mountain they come! Around the gates and down the course at great speed. And now down the home stretch! It’s too close to call! Vixen and Dancer are hoof to hoof, antler to antler.

In the final stretch, it’s very close. Who will win? Which reindeer will take the gold? It’s across the finish line, and it’s too close to call! The Official Elves are looking at the video replay. Oh, it’s very close. But the winner is, Vixen! Vixen wins the seventh gold medal of the Games, with a very nice race in the Snowboarding event.

Check back tomorrow for the beginning of our final event, the Cross-Country Skiing race!
