Toby spotted the glue bottles on the desk. He couldn't wait to present Plan B to his friends.
"I called it the super sticky trap," he proudly said.
Wow!
The elves were amazed.
So Toby assigned tasks to the elves, and they got to work. The first one squeezed the bottles, filling the pot with glue to the top. The second one brought a wooden stick from the forest, while the third elf took the ribbon off the Christmas present.
Meanwhile, Waldo watched the elves rush through the Post Office. He wanted to warn Chris of the danger Toby was up to, so he sat at the desk and wrote a letter. Whistling the tune of his favorite Christmas carol and making sure no one noticed, Waldo slipped the note through the hole in the wall. When Chris Mouse read the warning letter, he giggled.
"Tee-hee-hee, so silly!"
The elves collected all the unnecessary stuff. It was time for Toby to start building his super sticky trap. He placed the wooden stick upright to hold the pot full of glue. Then, Toby tied the ribbon to the stick and attached a piece of cheese to the other end of the ribbon. He has centered the cheese so that when Chris grabs it, the cheese will pull a ribbon that will pull a wooden stick that will knock a pot of glue onto the mouse.
"Brilliant," Toby hissed, and all he had to do was wait for Chris to fall into his trap.
Will Chris fall into a super sticky trap? Find out tomorrow, ONLY on the North Pole Times.
