Hello, dear readers! Toomer the Terrific Tasks elf here! My toboggan troubles just keep getting wilder and messier. Last week, you may remember, my Terrific Toboggan wasn’t behaving at all. It’s been acting like a kid who just discovered donuts exist – excited and totally out of control! It’s not taking me where I need to go or helping me do my job. I can’t trust it one bit.

At the end of last week, the TT seemed like it was back to normal, but that didn’t last long. When I pressed the button for a quick snack (a very important part of my elf-ish duties!), the snack dispenser made a ghastly screech and then – BOOM! Cookies, whipped cream, custard and all kinds of candies launched into the air like an explosion of confetti. It was as if I had stumbled headfirst into a trifle!

To be honest, though, I really didn’t mind! I laughed to myself as I brushed cookie crumbs from my hat – it’s hard to feel down when you look like a walking dessert.

With my toboggan’s camera broken, I had to start sketching good deeds on paper instead. My notebook quickly turned into a mess of scribbles that looked more like a sugar explosion than art. One of the sketches was of a child named Meredith from Toronto who held a cookie sale to raise money for charity. What a terrific task! I’m adding you to the Terrific Task Doer-of-the-Year Award Contest with a gold 5 star rating! Way to go, Meredith – you ROCK!

Speaking of rocks, I just remembered a wild storm I went through a while back when my toboggan still worked. Hailstones as big as rocks hit me as I flew from Portugal to Peru! I had to dodge them like some crazy game of winter dodgeball. Could one of those icy hits have damaged my toboggan?

As I sit here covered in crumbs and whipped cream, with the radio glitching Christmas songs, I know I have to figure out what’s wrong with this toboggan. Santa’s ‘NICE LIST’ team is counting on me to record all the Terrific Tasks before Christmas Eve!

Just time for one more cookie before I start… SLURP…
