Toomer Elf Picks This Week’s Terrific Task

Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat… And your old elf pal Toomer knows right where he’s at—England!
Mist pearled along the rooftops as my Tremendous Toboggan skimmed the evening air—bells going tinka-tink whenever kindness twinkled below. Streetlamps blinked on, one by one, like little puddles of gold.

On a quiet terraced street in Leeds, England, it was bin day. Two tall wheelie bins stood by the kerb. One helper noticed a neighbour at the gate, hands full of letters and keys. Amelia stepped up, rolled the wheelie bin neatly back to the garden path, clicked the lid shut, and parked it by the fence—then did the same for the next-door bin, just because it was kind. Tinka-tink! sang the bells, and a gold star lit the Nice List beside her name.

I was basking in the moment when a hush fell, a twinkle sparked, and—ping!—the Tip-Top Twinkle Tablet sang out a fresh find. The screen shimmered; a new task appeared.

I tilted the Tremendous Toboggan toward London and we zipped down to see for ourselves. From above the rooftops I watched the moment play out—and yes: Oliver had indeed performed this Terrific Task. Kindness confirmed.

I pressed “Send to Santa” on the Tip-Top Twinkle Tablet. Snowy sparkles danced across the screen, then his message appeared: “Ho-ho! Today’s top pick!” The Nice List scroll unfurled and placed Oliver at #1 for this week.
