Ready, set, cheer—Toomer is here. Ready to pick the Task of the Year!

My Trailblazing Toboggan purred as we sketched a path of twinkles across the sky. The Tip-Top Twinkle Tablet blinked us toward Madison, Wisconsin, where Maya spotted a woman overloaded with bags—handles digging into her fingers, a package tucked under her chin—nudging her car door closed with her foot. As it thumped shut, a mitten dropped into the slush. Maya dashed, scooped it with a smile, then took a bag and walked her to the porch—one steady hold, one kind pause, one happy nod.

Then it happened! The Tip-Top Twinkle Tablet suddenly flared brighter than ever—the screen shivered, sparkled, and shook in my mittens as the Trailblazing Toboggan’s bells rang tinka-TINK! tinka-TINK! The Trailblazing Toboggan kicked with a whoosh, zipping forward like a comet.
Across the glowing screen, letters frantically typed themselves:

Terrific Task Alert!

Location: London
Terrific Task: Helped tidy up at home during the busy holiday season—pitching in through the festive rush.

“Hold tight!” I laughed as we barreled toward London—just in time to see that amazing action sparkle into place. It was the terrific task the Tablet had promised, bright as a bell’s last ring.

The Tablet gave a merry peal, and Santa’s North Pole seal spun onto the screen, scattering starlight. “Confirmed!” curled in candy-cane script, and a shining #1 rose onto the screen, crowning Oliver with the Terrific Tasker of the Year Award!

What a sparkling finish to a fantastic year! I guess that means my final report of the season is filed, the Tip-Top Twinkle Tablet chimed, and my Terrific Toboggan is tucked in. But don’t think we’re done yet. Remember—the next time you’re being caring, generous, or helpful, someone might be noticing… and let’s just say he could be three-foot-two with a report to finish.
